Cavity inflation procedures are medical techniques in which a body cavity is expanded by the introduction of a gas. These procedures are mainly used in minimally invasive surgery and diagnostic procedures to provide surgeons and diagnosticians with a better view and more space to work.

Areas of application include laparoscopy, thoracoscopy, hysteroscopy and many more.
