Ventilation and inhalation

Ventilation is a medical procedure that supports or takes over breathing in order to ensure an adequate supply of oxygen, especially in patients with respiratory failure. There is invasive and non-invasive ventilation. Non-invasive ventilation is carried out using masks and is used for minor breathing problems. Ventilation is life-saving and is used in intensive care, anesthesia and emergency medicine. It enables precise control of oxygen and carbon dioxide levels in the blood.

Inhalation is a medical procedure in which medication or breathing air is inhaled into the lungs in order to have a direct effect. The procedure enables a rapid and targeted effect in the respiratory tract, as the medication is delivered directly to where it is needed.
